Job Overview
The Procurement Manager leads sourcing and purchasing activities for Weatherford's manufacturing operations, ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition of materials, equipment, and services. This role drives supplier performance, negotiates contracts, and aligns sourcing strategies with business needs while maintaining high quality and compliance standards.
Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, consumables, and subcontracting services.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and long-term agreements.
• Monitor supplier performance and lead corrective action plans when required.
• Coordinate with engineering and operations to understand material specifications and delivery timelines.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and ethical standards.
• Maintain accurate purchase order tracking and reporting through ERP systems.
• Lead cost reduction and localization/alternative sourcing initiatives.

Skills

• Strong negotiation and contract management capabilities
• Proficiency in ERP/Procurement platforms (SAP Ariba, Oracle, JDE)
• Knowledge of oilfield and manufacturing materials, equipment, and MRO sourcing
• Analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities
• Strong stakeholder management and supplier relationship skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing within oil & gas/manufacturing
• CIPS or CPSM certification preferred
• Proven track record in cost reduction and supplier management
