Male Cleaner
Job Title: Male Cleaner
Department: Facilities Management / Housekeeping
Reporting To: Cleaning Supervisor / Facilities Manager
Job Purpose:
To perform a variety of cleaning activities to maintain the assigned premises to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. This role may involve tasks in male-only areas or require physical labor in specific environments.
Key Responsibilities:

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors in all assigned areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms (including toilets, urinals, sinks, and showers) and replenish supplies (soap, toilet paper, towels).
• Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, window sills, and ledges.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks as scheduled (e.g., shampooing carpets, stripping and waxing floors).
• Report any maintenance defects, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
• May be required to handle cleaning chemicals and operate cleaning machinery (e.g., floor buffers, carpet cleaners).
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• No formal educational qualifications required, but literacy and numeracy are beneficial.
• Previous experience in a commercial or industrial cleaning role is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods.

Skills and Competencies:

• Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Attention to detail and a pride in delivering high-quality work.
• Reliability, honesty, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Time management skills to complete tasks within assigned shifts.

Working Conditions:

• Often involves bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting.
• May involve working with chemicals and require the use of protective equipment (gloves, masks).
• Shifts may be early morning, evening, or night, depending on the client's needs.
