Job Summary: The Catering Supervisor oversees the daily operations of catering services, ensuring high-quality food preparation, presentation, and customer satisfaction. This role involves coordinating events, managing staff, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, has strong leadership skills, and excels in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Event Coordination & Customer Service:
Plan and execute catering events (corporate, social, weddings, etc.) according to client requirements.
Liaise with clients to confirm menus, timelines, and special requests.
Ensure seamless service delivery, from setup to breakdown.
Address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
2. Staff Management:
Supervise catering staff, including servers, chefs, and bartenders.
Assign duties, conduct training, and ensure team adherence to service standards.
Monitor staff performance and provide feedback.
3. Food Safety & Quality Control:
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations (e.g., HACCP, local codes).
Oversee food preparation, presentation, and portioning to maintain quality.
Manage inventory and coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries.
4. Logistics & Operations:
Arrange transportation of equipment, food, and staff to event venues.
Maintain and inspect catering equipment for functionality and cleanliness.
Assist in budget management and cost control.
5. Administrative Duties:
Assist in scheduling staff and managing payroll records.
Maintain records of orders, invoices, and client feedback.
Support sales efforts by promoting catering services.
