Menu planning
: Developing and preparing a variety of Western dishes, from simple fare to more complex plates.Food preparation
: Cooking and presenting dishes like steaks, burgers, and pasta while ensuring consistent flavor and portion size.Hygiene and safety
: Ensuring all kitchen operations comply with food safety and hygiene regulations.Staff management
: Training and mentoring other kitchen staff to improve their skills and productivity.Inventory and cost control
: Managing inventory, ordering, and controlling waste to optimize food costs.Menu innovation
: Creating new menu items and seasonal specials.Skills and qualifications
Experience
: Often requires a minimum of 2 years of experience, ideally as an Executive or Head Chef in Western cuisine.Knowledge
: In-depth knowledge of sauces, grilling, and modern cooking techniques is essential.Leadership
: Strong leadership and communication skills are necessary to manage a kitchen effectively.Organizational skills
