Job Summary

This role requires strong experience in sourcing and arranging outside trucks, managing drivers, and coordinating with brokers and transport companies. Candidates must have clear knowledge of different truck types, loading capacities, special permissions, and free zone/border clearance procedures.

Market Research and Procurement:

Explore the market on a regular basis to identify available trucks that meet customer requirements in terms of truck type, cost, capacity, route, and timeline.

(Eg: Trailers: Flat Bed, Low bed, Reefer, Curtain sided, car carriers/ Pickup trucks/Equipment: crane, forklift & etc)

Establish and maintain relationships with truck drivers/ owners/ transport companies/ brokers to ensure a reliable supply of trucks at the best rate.

Negotiate rates and contractual terms with truck drivers/ owners/ transport companies/ brokers to secure competitive pricing while maintaining service quality standards.

Truck Arrangement and Coordination:

Communicate with coordinators to confirm truck details and provide timely updates on truck availability and scheduling.

Update tracking on daily basis.

Driver Coordination and Management:

Address any issues or concerns raised by drivers during transit and provide necessary support or solutions.

Cross-Border Transportation Management:

Inform coordinators on the logistical challenges associated with cross-border transportation, including customs clearance, documentation, and regulatory compliance.

Cargo Information and Documentation:

Provide accurate and complete cargo details, Documents, special handling instructions to the driver.

Collect all receipts, Delivery notes, Shipment related documents from the driver immediately after the shipment delivery.

Prepare driver agreement and obtain driver signature.

Financial Management and Reporting:

Input and maintain accurate records of drivers, truck details and freight rates in the company's operations systems.

Communication and Collaboration:

o Serve as a primary point of contact with the drivers for inquiries, updates, and resolution of transportation-related issues.

Required Competency Skill:

Proven experience in arranging outside trucks & managing drivers.

Must have contacts of drivers/ Brokers and transport companies who can supply different types of trucks.

Must have an understanding about freezone/border clearance procedures and documents involved.

Must have clear knowledge about different types of trucks, special permissions & loading capacities.

Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors, carriers, and other stakeholders.

Proficiency in transportation management software or MS Office applications.

Must have the UAE driving license.

Languages: English, Arabic.
