We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Operations Manager to join our Total Facilities Management team in our Headquarters, located in DAFZA, Dubai Airport Freezone.
Scope: Reporting to the operations manager, directly responsible for the daily operational management of the passenger transportation division with group transport, responsible for the region-wise operational KPIs to achieve the highest level of service and manages the overall cost of the area or zone assigned. Plays a key role in the TG fleet management with ground-level reporting and compliance inspections directly managed by the operations team - works closely with the fleet and compliance team to ensure the highest level of compliance across the TG fleet. Work with the business units to improve the overall service to internal customers whilst maintaining the desired level of performance to the end user TG client. Maintain the cost control and operational metrics to achieve the overall scorecard requirements for the respective areas. Manage the area supervisors to deliver operational excellence in the respective area, deliver the zone-wise scorecard metrics and operational KPIs.
Financial

• Accountable for the operational P&L, monitoring the annual spend against budget and reporting on variances.
• Directly accountable to deliver the CPH across the operations within the budget.

Customer

• Responsible for executing vehicle scheduling, route planning and managing transport for employees.

Process

• Implementing fleet and operational policies and procedures for the Transport operations team, enforcing and upholding TG compliance
• Manage daily operations ensuring drivers daily schedules are planned and optimized for efficiencies.
• Conduct continuous analysis of vehicle, driver and schedule patterns to consolidate, improve and maximize usage of vehicles and resource to reducing transportation cost recommend cost control measures.
• Manage the transport suppliers in providing transport services, quotes for new routes and ad hoc requests.
• Manage Transport Risk Register which identifies any issues and vehicle risks that are reported by Transguard staff.
• Perform changes in working conditions and use of vehicles to increase efficiency of operations and operations teams.
• Assess driver and staff performance, provide reports identifying their strength and areas needing development.
• Train, appraise and motivate staff to ensure optimum performance and successful team management.

Innovation

• Lead the BU in the deployment of smart routing and scheduling using the GPS and TMS tools to their maximum benefit.

Selection Criteria

• Degree in Logistics required (bachelor's degree preferred)
• Experience in large fleet transport operations; passenger transport is an advantage.
• 5 years' experience as a minimum in transport transport-related vocation
