TEAM LEADER
Position Title: Team Leader (Cleaning Crew Lead)
Reports To: Cleaning Supervisor or Operations Manager
Job Purpose:
To lead a small team of cleaners on a specific shift or project, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards. The Team Leader acts as a hands-on role model and the primary point of contact for the team.
Key Responsibilities:

• Team Coordination: Assign daily tasks and zones to team members at the start of the shift.
• Hands-On Work: Actively participate in cleaning duties alongside the team, often handling more complex or specialized tasks.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular walk-throughs to inspect the work of the team, ensuring it meets established quality standards before the shift ends.
• Training: Train new team members on proper cleaning techniques, chemical usage, safety protocols, and the use of equipment.
• Communication Bridge: Relay information from management to the team and report team issues, progress, and completion of tasks back to the Supervisor.
• Inventory & Equipment: Manage stock levels for the team's assigned area; issue supplies and ensure equipment is functional and stored correctly.
• Problem-Solving: Address minor issues and client requests on the spot, escalating more significant problems to the Supervisor.
• Timekeeping: Monitor team attendance and ensure the team stays on schedule.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience as a cleaner, with a proven track record of high performance.
• Demonstrated leadership skills or experience guiding others.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate a team and maintain a positive attitude.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work under pressure.
