Sr. Field Technical Engineer (CCTV & Network Commissioning)

Location & Travel:

100% field-based. Frequent travel to project sites (onshore/offshore)

Reports to:

Service Delivery/Integration Manager

Purpose

Plan, lead and execute installation and commissioning of CCTV systems and network components; coordinate technicians, produce as-built documentation, and ensure system integrity to meet functional & safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Translate HLD/LLD and handbook into field actions; create detailed installation checklists for technicians. Plan and supervise & execute deployment of cameras, NVR, server rack integration, M12-terminated CAT6A cabling and Ex-Type enclosures. Validate PoE power allocation and link budgets. Plan and supervise & execute coring and anchoring for racks, conduits, and base plates in coordination with on-site customer POC. Ensure proper mechanical installation of Ex-rated racks, NVR cabinets, and SS316L enclosures as per ATEX guidelines. Perform lifting supervision for heavy equipment (racks, enclosures & cameras/brackets) ensuring use of certified lifting tools and manlifts. Perform advanced network tasks: VLAN assignment, IP schema implementation, switch port configuration, and verify 100M/1G/2.5G link negotiation; troubleshoot link issues. Execute and interpret cable certification tests (pair integrity, shield continuity), record Fluke-like cert reports. Manage commissioning tests (live feed checks, FOV validation, vibration tests during operations) and produce commissioning sign-off packs. Coordinate with client (HSE and ROBE teams) for access, lift/crane planning and work-at-height activities. Raise and manage RMA / warranty requests with OEMs, and liaise with back-office support for spares logistics. Keep complete as-built documentation (CAD markups, cable schedules, serial/MAC lists, firmware versions). Mentor technicians and act as escalation point for Level-1 incidents.
Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Telecom or Computer Engineering. 4-7 years field experience in CCTV system installations, IP networking, and commissioning (NVR/VMS experience mandatory). Hands-on knowledge of PoE, M12 connectorization, shield grounding best practice, and industrial Ethernet. Familiarity with cameras/NVR, server basics, and Wired/Wireless Routers (Cisco / Nokia / etc). Hands-on knowledge of PoE systems, ATEX/Ex-rated installations, and cable testing tools. Capable of supervising mechanical mounting and lifting operations safely.
Preferred Competencies / Certifications

WMS (Work Management System) for Job Performer ADNOC H2S Level-2 & Safety Induction Work at Height, Manlift Operation, Confined Space (as applicable) Defensive Driving (for field travel) Experience in Oil & Gas / offshore installations preferred
Soft Skills

Strong troubleshooting & diagnostic skills; methodical documentation. Able to lead small teams and coordinate multi-discipline activities. Good customer-facing skills for client acceptance testing.

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED6,500.00 per month
