Job Description

The Service Crew at Tortilla Restaurant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to ensure a positive dining experience for our guests. This role involves taking food and beverage orders, serving meals, and attending to customer needs while maintaining a clean and organized dining area. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a friendly and outgoing personality, and a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome customers in a warm and friendly manner upon their arrival. Present menus to guests and provide detailed information about the dishes and beverages offered. Assist customers in making menu selections and answer any questions or concerns they may have. Providing attentive and personalized service throughout the dining experience, anticipating, and fulfilling customer needs. Take accurate food and beverage orders from customers and enter them into the POS system. Check dishes and beverages for quality, accuracy, and presentation before serving them to guests. Provide exceptional customer service throughout the dining experience, attending to guests' needs and addressing any issues or complaints promptly. Checking in with customers during their meal to ensure satisfaction and promptly addressing any concerns or issues that may arise. Collaborating with the service team to gather customer feedback and suggestions to enhance the overall customer journey. Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including tables, chairs, and serving stations. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain hygiene standards. Prepare and deliver checks to customers, process payments, and handle cash transactions accurately. Collaborate with other team members to provide efficient service and contribute to a positive work environment. Upsell additional products and services when appropriate to enhance the guest experience. Attend training sessions and stay updated on menu changes, specials, and promotional offers. Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up tables, restocking supplies, and cleaning tasks.
Requirements

Previous experience as a waiter/waitress or in a customer service role is preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and serving. Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including ingredients and preparation methods. Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with colleagues. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Basic math skills for handling payments and giving change. Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods and lift trays of food or beverages. Familiarity with POS systems and order processing software is a plus.
