Summary:

The

Senior Operations Officer (SOO)

will oversee and enhance the operational functions of our investment banking activities. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless execution of transactions, maintain regulatory compliance, and drive operational efficiency. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and expertise in investment banking operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

Oversee day-to-day operations related to investment banking activities, including trade settlements, transaction processing, and fund transfers. Ensure smooth execution and reconciliation of financial transactions, minimizing risks and errors. Optimize workflow processes to improve efficiency and scalability.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management:

Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies governing investment banking operations. Monitor and mitigate operational risks by implementing robust internal controls. Work closely with compliance and risk teams to align operations with regulatory standards.

Process Improvement & Technology Integration:

Identify inefficiencies and recommend automation or process enhancements. Collaborate with IT teams to implement and maintain trading, settlement, and reporting systems. Keep abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in investment banking operations.

Financial & Reporting Responsibilities:

Prepare and review operational reports, including trade confirmations, reconciliations, and performance metrics. Assist in financial analysis related to operational costs and budget management. Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping for audit and regulatory purposes.

Stakeholder Coordination:

Liaise with traders, investment managers, back-office teams, and external financial institutions. Support the front office in executing investment strategies by providing operational insights. Assist in resolving client queries and ensuring high service standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA or CFA preferred). 5+ years of experience in investment banking operations, trade settlements, or financial services operations. Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, compliance policies, and operational risk management. Proficiency in financial systems, trade settlement platforms, and data management tools.
