The MS&A Strategy & Planning team directly supports the MS&A Head and facilitates achievement of financial and business goals for the function.
Strategy & Planning team also provides strategic oversight and project management across strategic and BAU priorities of the MS&A function.
The Strategy & Planning team partners with CEMEA MS&A Head and geographical MS&A leaders in leading organizational and process changes for more effective delivery and to further integrate business practices with the Global Business Units and Functions. Strategy & Planning team drives business performance by raising productivity and performance standards.
Head of Strategy & Planning closely engage with key internal stakeholders both within subregions, the CEMEA Hub and Global teams such as GCMs, Cluster Heads, Country Managers, and various functional verticals to achieve strategic business objectives.
Head of Strategy & Planning is leading the development and implementation of strategic programs, actively deploying data/analytics forplanning and budgeting and ensuring that the sales organization is effective in providing value to the clients and promoting adoption of Visa products and solutions.
The ideal candidate will work with minimal guidance in a fast paced, ambiguous work environment, and will have the ability to independently translate high level guidance into detailed deliverables.
Principle Responsibilities / Key Results Area
The Head of Strategy & Planning is playing a key role in managing and executing strategic business initiatives, financial planning, decision making, competitive tracking, sales planning, client support programs, pricing, management reporting, insights and related areas
The employee is responsible for, but not limited to:
Revenue focus and discipline through deliberate coverage and program based client targets, monitoring through pipeline orientation (top deals, by product, quantified in revenue terms).
Identify, structure, and manage complex issues to arrive at recommendations that drive strategic objectives. Drive solving of a range of business problems by proactively collaborating and coordinating with multiple internal stakeholders.
Lead major project work streams related to strategic priorities
Maintain business landscape knowledge to provide solid foundational context to critical strategic projects.
Provide frameworks and perspectives relevant to business objectives, Research and analyze internal/ external data, information and trends to present client and market level insights
Proactive design of next set of business development programs , gathering feedback from regional/global leaders on programs needed complemented with client and competitive/external trend diagnostics to establish a point of view and prioritize opportunities
Management of all MS&A BPO activities, including preparation of Business Reviews, executing MS Dynamics champion function, internal reporting, managing relationships with the key Visa functions (Strategy, Finance, Marketing, People, CS, Sales Exellence, ) supporting the business
Provide leadership and direction for priorities of all key markets and corresponding requirements on resource allocation. Assess MS&A resources are adequately deployed in a balanced manner to best address strategic priorities
Maintain tight alignment and work closely with Functional and Country management teams, acting as a project manager on strategic or pan-regional projects, and bringing timely and useful insight, perspective, analytical support, and research resources.
Lead and manage the BPO team, monitoring progress and ensuring team is provided with development opportunities.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Strategic thinking, strong analytical skills and financial acumen required to be a trusted advisor to MS&A Head
Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate, verbally and in writing, compelling messages to senior managers and other stakeholders
Self-confident and hands-on, with the ability to operate in a fast paced and constantly changing work environment
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to build credibility with various functions in order to work in a matrix organization.
Excellent collaborator with ability to influence without authority, and rally corporate resources and functional experts to drive business objectives
Project management skills and strong execution capability to deliver against tight deadlines
Comfortable with complexity and ambiguity
Ability to learn fast, and assess opportunities quickly using industry experience and fact-based analyses
Minimum of 10 years work experience in Retail Banking, Management Consulting, Corporate Strategy or a related function
Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field. A master\'s degree would be an advantage
Proven People leadership skills
Experience in and/or significant exposure to the financial services/payments industry required
Experience in handling projects with multiple work streams, and coordinating complex cross-enterprise processes with multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels
