Job Summary

The VP, Global Finance Operations provides financial consulting and strategic support to senior management at both Kerzner Regional Office and Kerzner International hotels. This person will play a vital role in overseeing the financial operations, governance, and compliance of our hotel organization. In addition, provide insights and support to drive optimal business decision making. The role includes preparing presentations and financial models to answer strategic questions posed by the SVP Global Finance and Senior Management. Furthermore, to provide specialized reporting, analysis, and support for various strategic initiatives and other projects, this role includes financial reporting, forecasting, annual budgeting, governance & compliance and supervision of the properties Finance functions.

The position requires a balance of both analytical and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to build and analyze financial models and also effectively communicate across all levels of the Company. This includes presenting conclusions to Senior Management in writing and in person in a professional, thoughtful, and clear manner.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies and procedures to guide the overall financial operations of the hotel organization.
  • Work closely with the operational teams to understand and support their financial needs.
  • Monitor, analyze key performance indicators related to hotel operations, providing insights and recommendations for performance improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies related to finance and hotel operations.
  • Working closely with SVP Finance Global on financial modeling for strategic initiatives as well as developing company analytics and procedures for maintaining strong company financials.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and track departmental budgets, ensuring alignment with overall financial goals. Suggest improvements to operational processes and key cost components.
  • Preparing presentations for senior management, including monthly financial reporting, annual plans, and ad hoc projects
  • Investigating key business issues and providing clear, concise, and timely analysis
  • Liaising with all business units and the accounting group on financial and operating matters
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements to drive efficiencies and simplification
  • Aid in various ad-hoc financial analyses and projects and take a leadership role in the development of financial improvement initiatives and business cases for strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee the review and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual financial performance of the business to determine key drivers impacting the Company\'s performance.
  • Direct the timely comparison of actual results to plans and prior year results for the purpose of identifying and communicating areas that may require additional focus. Monitor and communicate trends, and assess implications along with developing actionable strategies.
