Key Responsibilities
Translate the fashion direction provided by the Line Manager into cohesive and commercially viable collections.
Conduct ongoing trend research on fabrics, colors, silhouettes, and overall market movements.
Design and develop seasonal collections that align with brand identity and customer expectations.
Collaborate with buyers, planners, and forecasters to ensure products meet the design brief.
Work closely with buying and planning teams to align designs with market needs, target customers, and price points.
Apply strong technical knowledge of garment construction to ensure feasibility for production.
Maintain proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other industry-standard design tools.
Demonstrate excellent organization, multitasking, and problem-solving skills throughout the design process.
Accurately manage lineups, collection maps, and technical packs.
Oversee the creation and coordination of collections for development, ensuring effective collaboration within the team.
Lead fitting sessions in partnership with the design and buying teams.
Supervise and guide a team of designers and junior designers, providing support, mentorship and direction.
Report directly to the Line Manager, working under supervision and mentorship.
Participate in development trips alongside the Line Manager.
