. This role involves both client engagement and technical support, from project discovery to solution design and proposal development.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with the sales team to qualify leads and understand customer requirements in smart home and automation projects.
Prepare and deliver compelling product presentations and demonstrations on:
Home automation systems
(lighting, HVAC, curtain/blinds control)
Smart security systems
(CCTV, smart locks, access control)
Audio/Video distribution
Integration platforms
(KNX, Z-Wave, Zigbee, Crestron, Control4, etc.)
Conduct site visits and technical assessments as needed.
Design integrated automation solutions tailored to customer needs and budget.
Develop
technical proposals
,
Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
, and system architecture diagrams.
Assist with RFP/RFQ responses and tender documentation.
Liaise with manufacturers, distributors, and internal teams to source products and support delivery.
Keep up with new trends in IoT, smart homes, and automation standards.
Support project handover to the implementation team and ensure the solution aligns with what was proposed.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Automation, IT, or related field.
2-5 years
of experience in
home automation
,
ELV
, or
smart building
technologies in a sales/pre-sales role.
Strong technical knowledge of:
Ability to read architectural/MEP drawings and create basic layout or schematics.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Good command of MS Office, AutoCAD/Visio, and presentation tools.
Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
