Sales Manager Role UAE Based Attractive Base + Comms Our client is a European based Fintech now expanding its global presence. Independently owned and managed, they are a fully-funded private company. Their main product is an innovative solution designed to run the complete back and middle-offices of Asset Managers, Wealth/Multi-family Offices and Private Banks. The sales position will initially be a relatively ‘stand-alone’ role in the UAE and will suit candidates who already have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. In due course, they expect to continue to expand the team locally and so the successful applicant will play a key role in assisting with the recruitment of team members. Reporting to the Head of Asia Business thhis role will enable the successful candidates to make a step up to a dynamic yet demanding opportunity, with a solid base plus an attractive commission opportunity. Because the role will operate with a considerable amount of autonomy, it is essential that the applicant has a mature outlook and a reasonable level of experience in the asset/portfolio management industry, which may have been gained at either a financial institution or at a ‘Fintech’ company operating in the same industry as them. Desired Profile:
Graduate in finance or a numerical subject from a reputed Institution.
An Advanced/Master’s degree and certifications would be a plus.
3-5 years of experience in sales in one or more of the following domains: Investment Management \ Wealth Management \ Financial Services \ Capital Markets (Hedge Funds, Alternative Investment, Portfolio Accounting, Investment Operations) with a substantial customer interface element.
Good knowledge of the principles of accounting, performance measurement and risk would be beneficial, although training can be given. Certifications may include CFA Level 1.
Handling of Implementation and Post-Implementation sales support would be an added advantage.
Ability to confidently handle Prospect questions and inquiries regarding our client’s products and services.
Understanding of software sales commercial factors such as license fees, maintenance, per seat, and ancillary fees.
Proven track record of sourcing financial services prospects and closing deals.
A determination to succeed and a character that doesn’t dwell on sales rejections!
Awareness of various financial instruments and types; especially static data pertaining to those instruments.
Good communication skills are essential. Fluency in Cantonese and English are required, with a reasonable business working knowledge in Mandarin. The assigned target area will be the “Greater Bay Area”.
