The Sales Manager - Sea Freight is responsible for leading a team of sales professionals to achieve the company's revenue targets through the sale of sea freight services to customers. The role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, maintaining relationships with customers, and collaborating with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for sea freight services
Lead and manage a team of sales professionals to ensure sales targets are met
Maintain and develop relationships with customers to promote repeat business
Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and customer service, to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities for growth
Prepare and deliver sales presentations to customers and other stakeholders
Provide accurate and timely sales reports to senior management
Manage the sales budget and ensure sales targets are achieved within the allocated budget
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations
Attend industry events and trade shows to promote the company's sea freight services and expand the customer base
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, logistics, or a related field
5+ years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the sea freight industry
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Sound knowledge of sea freight operations and regulations
Proven ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales-related software
Willingness to travel as required
