Risk Manager

(Abu Dhabi, UAE)

Key Responsibilities: * Risk Assessment: Evaluate and identify potential risks, including credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk, operational risk, and compliance risk.
  • Risk Analysis: Analyze data and financial information to assess the severity and potential impact of identified risks.
  • Risk Mitigation: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and policies to minimise the bank\'s exposure to various risks.
  • Compliance: Ensure the bank adheres to all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards. Stay up-to-date with changes in banking regulations.
  • Stress Testing: Conduct stress tests and scenario analysis to assess the bank\'s resilience under adverse conditions.
  • Credit Risk Management: Assess the creditworthiness of borrowers and manage the bank\'s loan portfolio to minimize defaults.
  • Market Risk Management: Monitor financial markets and assess the impact of market movements on the bank\'s investments and trading activities.
  • Liquidity Management: Manage the bank\'s liquidity to ensure it can meet its financial obligations at all times.
  • Operational Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with internal processes, technology, and human factors that could disrupt bank operations.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular risk reports for senior management and regulatory authorities, highlighting key risk exposures and mitigation efforts.
  • Risk Culture: Promote a culture of risk awareness and compliance throughout the organisation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field (Master\'s degree preferred).
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Risk Manager (CRM) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) may be required or preferred.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience:
  • 10 years of experience in risk management, preferably within a banking or financial services environment.
