Job Purpose

Improve the quality of the SME Banking portfolio and maintain its quality by acting preventively to avoid accounts non-performance, and implement Due Diligence measures for SME Banking Accounts on-boarding

Principle Accountabilities

Developing policies and procedures and implementing Dynamic Monitoring measures of the SME Portfolio.

Develop and review policies to Ensure proper implementation of SME Onboarding Due diligence.

Manage a Team of Business Risk Officers / Senior Officers, and drive them towards implementing effectively and efficiently the Objectives of the Bank and the Department's strategy.

Conduct Due Diligence on identified accounts to prevent their deterioration at an early stage.

Work with the Unit Heads, and RMs to ensure minimum levels of exceptions.

Work with the Unit Heads to ensure the proper Triple C management, and the timely implementation of the conclusions.

Assist the Unit Heads and RMs in negotiations with clients having deteriorating credits for a smooth exit of the relationship.

Negotiate with identified customers to explore the possibilities for an amicable settlement of liabilities towards mutual interest before initiating legal action.

Establish effective & professional communication (both internal and external) to ensure turnaround time within designated parameters and higher client satisfaction levels.

Develop a strong level of local contacts with the local businesses and financial institutions community.

Assist the Head of products and the Head of Business on various projects having the goal of reduce the cost of risk within the SME Banking portfolio.

Conduct Monthly and annual reviews on Business asset finance portfolio as per the defined criteria in the policy and highlight the red flags to the head of credit and head of collections

Assist the product head on the IT projects (BRDs and UATs) related business banking

Requirements

Education and Experience

Degree in accounting, finance, Economics, or business management.

8 years banking experience of which Minimum 3 years in Business Risk Manager position with a reputed Financial Institution
