Our client, a well-established Islamic bank in Abu Dhabi is currently searching for a hands-on and highly technical Risk Manager to detect and scrutinize all possible risks that may end up impacting on the bank's financial success.

The role
- Reporting to the CRO, this is a stand-alone role and is centered on utilizing analytical reports derived from assessing a company’s risk profile to make recommendations to the organization
- Maintains an adequate and effective Risk Management program thus ensuring the bank is in full compliance with all banking laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures
- Analysis of IFRS 9 results and presenting it to the CRO, maintaining and updating methodology in line with best practice for IFRS 9 provision requirement by regulators
- Preparing ICAAP report annually in line with CBUAE requirements
- Monitoring risk appetite and regular reporting on status
Client requirements
- Arabic speaking is a must
- 7-9 years' of relevant risk management and analytics experience
- Strong background in IFRS 9, Basel, ICAAP
- Hands-on and has an excellent stakeholder management skills
- Ability to handle private, sensitive, confidential information appropriately
- Professional Risk Manager (PRM) certification is a plus
