Description:
Stantec is looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor for a Water Infrastructure Projects in Dubai.
Technical Delivery:
? Experience in all facets of quantity surveying including:

• Cost Planning

• Quantity Take-Off

• Preparation of Bills of Quantities in CESMM format

• Estimating

• Tender and Contract Document Production

• Report Writing

• Claim Evaluation/Negotiation

• General Post Contract Administration

• Valuation of Variations

• Agreement of new rates

• Taking Over Certificates and Defects Liability

? Assist the Project Manager on commercial matters
? Assist in the preparation, submission, and agreement of interim payment applications to maximize the company's cashflow
? Coordinate to ensure compliance with contractual requirements
? General commercial management of sub-contractors
? Accurate and efficient measurement and identification of variations
? Production and agreement of final accounts and any additional cost claims
? Placement of subcontract order and agreement of subcontract final accounts
? Ensure that income from interim applications Is received on time
? Coordinate to ensure financial report is issued accurately in a timely manner
Collaboration and Teamwork:
? Work in conjunctions with engineers to solve project design conflicts, and perform basic design calculations
? Conduct field inspections under the supervision of the Project Manager
? Liaise with all teams working remotely to facilitate completion of tasks
Client Service Management:
? Liaise with internal and external clients
? Build and maintain lasting positive relationships
Follow Safe Work Practices:
? Complete all work in line with Stantec's core values and in accordance with Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures
? Design for safety
Qualifications:
? Relevant tertiary qualification(s); BSc QS preferred.
? Professional Qualifications; e.g. MRICS
? 10 years experience in all facets of quantity surveying including cost planning, quantity take-off, preparation of bills of quantities in CESMM format, estimating, tender and contract document production, report writing, claim evaluation/negotiation, general post contract administration, valuation of variations, agreement of new rates, Taking Over Certificates and Defects Liability Certificates of Contracts related to infrastructure works.
Experience in working on Water Infrastructure, TSE, Networks, Water Pipelines, Flood Prevention Schemes
Fluency in English and high degree of numeracy and literacy.
