HSE Officer - Fit-Out Works ( )

Position Summary:

The HSE Officer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving Health, Safety, and Environmental practices on fit-out project sites. The role ensures compliance with UAE regulations, company safety policies, and client requirements, while promoting a safe working environment for all workers, subcontractors, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:1. Site Safety Monitoring

Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and hazards. Ensure proper usage of PPE and enforce site safety rules. Monitor high-risk activities (working at height, electrical work, cutting, grinding, hot works, material handling, scaffolding, etc.).

2. Compliance & Documentation

Maintain all HSE documentation such as risk assessments, method statements, PTWs, inductions, and toolbox talks. Ensure all safety documentation is available at the site for audits and inspections. Verify subcontractors' compliance with safety regulations.

3. Training & Awareness

Conduct site safety inductions for new workers. Deliver daily/weekly toolbox talks related to fit-out hazards (e.g., power tools safety, indoor air quality, chemicals, dust control). Promote a positive safety culture across the workforce.

4. Incident & Emergency Management

Report and investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions. Prepare incident reports and recommend corrective actions. Monitor emergency arrangements such as fire extinguishers, evacuation routes, and first aid kits.

5. Coordination & Communication

Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure safety measures are incorporated in daily activities. Attend internal and client HSE meetings. Communicate hazards, risks, and safety improvements to management.

6. HSE Audits & Improvements

Assist in conducting internal HSE audits and inspections. Implement improvements based on audit findings. Ensure waste management and housekeeping standards are met on site.
