The incumbent is responsible for managing, coordinating, and monitoring a portfolio of IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring they are delivered on schedule and aligned with the strategic plan.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage the assigned portfolio of projects in accordance with the IT Project Management methodology to ensure successful execution as measured by project goals and customer satisfaction.
Build and maintain strong and effective relationships with all related departments and units to support successful project completion.
Establish effective communication channels and manage vendor engagements to ensure contractual obligations are met.
Coordinate between various IT departments to ensure progress of ongoing projects.
Effectively communicate project information to superiors and peers.
Report project progress, issues, and risks to management in a timely manner.
Prepare project initiation reports, status reports, closure reports, and other required documentation on schedule.
Minimize risk exposure by managing scope and implementing mitigation strategies across projects.
Conduct or participate in team and client meetings, ensuring direction, alignment, and objectivity.
Handle complex project personnel situations using sound judgment and in coordination with the Human Capital function.
Understand system internals, architecture, and limitations when determining problem-solving approaches.
Provide necessary information to external/internal auditors and Compliance when required.
Ensure protection and security of project information from unauthorized access in line with the organization's security policies.
Maintain high standards of confidentiality to protect sensitive information.
Identify opportunities for professional development and take action to enhance skills.
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree.
Project Management certification (PMI).
MBA or Master's Degree is an advantage.
Minimum 8 years of experience managing IT projects within banking or financial services.
Training or certification in systems technology, management, or banking is a plus.
