Production Assistant Coach
Position: Production Assistant Coach
Department: Coaching / Player Development
Reports To: Head Coach, Assistant Head Coach
Objective:
We are looking for a dynamic, high-energy Production Assistant Coach to focus on the direct development and performance of our players. This role is less about analytical breakdowns and more about on-field teaching, motivation, and skill development. The Production Assistant will work closely with position groups to reinforce the core techniques and fundamentals taught by the lead position coach, helping players translate the game plan into on-field success.
Key Responsibilities:

  • On-Field Instruction: Work directly with players during individual drills, focusing on technique, footwork, and position-specific fundamentals.
  • Player Development: Assist in the creation and implementation of individual development plans for players, particularly younger or practice squad members.
  • Drill Execution: Help set up, demonstrate, and run practice drills under the direction of the position coaches.
  • Motivation & Communication: Serve as a key communicator and motivator for players, ensuring they understand their assignments and are prepared mentally and physically.
  • Real-Time Feedback: Provide immediate, constructive feedback to players during practice and film sessions.
  • Logistical Support: Assist with logistics on game day, including equipment, sideline organization, and communication with players.
  • Scout Team Role: May be asked to actively mimic an opponent's tendencies with the scout team during practice to give the starting unit a realistic look.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Prior coaching experience at the high school, collegiate, or professional level is strongly preferred.
  • Strong background as a player at the collegiate or professional level.
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills, with the ability to connect with and motivate athletes.
  • Energetic, positive, and passionate about player development.
  • Deep understanding of the technical aspects of specific position(s).
  • Ability to demonstrate techniques and drills effectively.
  • Flexibility and a team-first attitude, willing to take on any task to help the team succeed.
  • Ability to work long hours in a high-pressure environment.
