Job Overview
The Procurement Assistant will be responsible for assisting in purchasing operations, vendor communication, order tracking, and quality checks. You will work closely with the hotel's supply and operations teams to ensure efficient sourcing, inventory control, and vendor coordination in line with Marriott's global procurement protocols.
Key Responsibilities

• Assist with processing purchase requisitions and maintaining accurate purchase orders
• Support inventory tracking and restocking by coordinating with internal departments
• Follow up with suppliers to confirm deliveries and address delays
• Conduct basic inspections for quality assurance and report issues to supervisors
• Maintain procurement documentation, including contracts, POs, and receipts
• Ensure compliance with internal purchasing policies and procedures
• Coordinate with finance for timely invoice verification and payments
• Help prepare reports on purchasing trends, vendor performance, and inventory turnover

Reporting & MIS

• Maintain records and logs for purchases, deliveries, and stock movements
• Assist with procurement audits and prepare data reports as needed

Governance & Standards

• Comply with Marriott's procurement ethics and quality assurance guidelines
• Contribute to sustainable sourcing initiatives and local supplier engagement

Job Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field
• At least 1 year of experience in procurement or hotel purchasing support
• Strong administrative and organizational skills
• Familiarity with procurement systems or hospitality ERPs preferred
• Proficient in Excel and basic reporting tools
• Effective communication and vendor coordination skills
