Job Overview
As a Procurement Assistant, you will assist in sourcing materials, verifying supplier documentation, and maintaining compliance with brand quality and safety standards. You'll work closely with vendors, internal departments, and quality control teams to ensure smooth operations within the hotel's supply chain.
Key Responsibilities

• Support purchasing activities, including price comparisons, order placements, and vendor coordination
• Ensure compliance with Marriott's procurement standards and supplier documentation requirements
• Track deliveries and maintain accurate records of purchases and receipts
• Assist with vendor evaluations and maintain the approved supplier database
• Coordinate with kitchen, housekeeping, and engineering departments to understand material needs
• Verify quality and safety standards for received goods
• Report discrepancies and follow up with suppliers to resolve issues
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of storage and receiving areas
• Provide administrative support to the procurement and quality assurance departments

Governance & Standards

• Follow internal purchasing policies and quality assurance guidelines
• Adhere to local compliance requirements and Marriott global procurement policies
• Maintain confidentiality and proper documentation of all purchasing records
• Report safety hazards, incidents, or equipment issues as required

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, inventory, or hospitality operations
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Logistics, or related field
• Familiarity with procurement software and vendor management tools
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
• Basic knowledge of food safety and product storage standards is a plus
