Job Overview
As a Procurement Assistant at JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, your primary role will be to ensure seamless purchasing operations, accurate inventory tracking, and compliance with Marriott's high-quality procurement standards. You will coordinate with suppliers, maintain documentation, and support hotel departments with timely order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day procurement functions and assist with purchase order creation
• Track deliveries and follow up on orders to ensure timely arrivals
• Maintain vendor communications and resolve basic supply issues
• Help ensure all goods meet Marriott quality standards before acceptance
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchasing records and inventory logs
• Liaise with finance for invoice processing and payment verification
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of contracts, receipts, and quotations
• Follow Marriott's procurement policies and sustainability initiatives

Reporting & MIS

• Keep accurate data for audit and reporting purposes
• Assist with periodic procurement reports, cost tracking, and vendor performance reviews

Governance & Standards

• Ensure purchasing compliance with internal SOPs and legal regulations
• Participate in continuous improvement of supply chain processes

Job Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, or a related field
• At least 1-2 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in hospitality
• Strong communication and vendor coordination skills
• Familiarity with hotel procurement systems or ERPs preferred
• Proficient in MS Excel and basic reporting
• Organized, proactive, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
