Job Title: Plumber

Reports To: MEP Team Leader / FM Supervisor
Summary:
The Plumber is a tradesperson specializing in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and sanitaryware. They play a key role in ensuring public health and water safety.
Key Responsibilities:

• Plumbing Systems Maintenance: Maintain and repair domestic water systems (hot and cold), drainage systems, sewage pumps, and sanitary fittings (toilets, sinks, taps, showers).
• Reactive Repairs: Respond to leaks, blockages, and failures of plumbing systems.
• Legionella Control: Execute tasks related to water hygiene and Legionella prevention, such as tank cleaning, temperature monitoring, and showerhead descaling.
• Installation: Install new pipework, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with building codes and water regulations.
• Fault Finding: Diagnose issues within complex pipework systems hidden in walls and under floors.
• Compliance: Work in line with Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations and all relevant health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience:

• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Domestic Heating.
• Proven experience as a plumber, preferably in a commercial or multi-occupancy residential setting.
• Knowledge of Water Regulations (WRAS accreditation is beneficial).
• Awareness of Legionella control procedures is highly advantageous.
• Strong practical skills and the ability to work with a variety of materials ( copper, plastic, iron).
