Job Description
A Panel Saw Operator is responsible for setting up and operating panel saws to accurately cut materials like wood, metal, or plastic into specific dimensions. They ensure the cutting process is precise, safe, and efficient. Their duties include reading technical drawings, maintaining machinery, and ensuring quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
Operating Panel Saws:
Setting up and operating panel saws to cut materials according to specifications.Material Handling:
Loading and unloading materials onto the saw, ensuring proper alignment and support.Reading and Interpreting Drawings:
Understanding technical drawings, cutting lists, and job orders to determine cutting requirements.Ensuring Accuracy:
Verifying dimensions of cut pieces using measuring tools, ensuring they meet specified tolerances.Maintaining Equipment:
Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of the saw and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.Quality Control:
Inspecting cut pieces for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards.Safety Compliance:
Following all safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.Record Keeping:
Maintaining records of production output and materials used.Troubleshooting:
