Job Description

Job Summary:

The Beam Panel Saw Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the beam saw machine to cut wood panels and boards to specified dimensions and tolerances. The operator ensures efficient, accurate, and safe cutting operations in accordance with production plans and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Machine Operation:

Set up, calibrate, and operate the beam panel saw machine according to cutting specifications and production orders. Load and unload wood panels safely onto the machine table. Adjust machine settings for cutting speed, blade height, and alignment as required.
2. Quality Control:

Verify dimensions, squareness, and finish of cut panels against drawings or specifications. Inspect materials for defects and ensure only quality products are processed. Maintain accurate cutting lists and record production quantities.
3. Maintenance & Safety:

Perform routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance. Report any mechanical or technical issues to maintenance personnel. Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
4. Production Support:

Collaborate with other production staff to optimize cutting sequences and minimize material waste. Assist in inventory management of wood panels and cutting tools. Ensure proper labeling and stacking of finished parts for further processing.

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in woodworking or machinery operation preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience operating a beam saw or similar CNC wood cutting equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and cutting lists. Basic knowledge of wood materials and cutting tools. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety awareness. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for long periods. Ability to lift and handle panels up to 25-30 kg with assistance. Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
