Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Table Saw Operator to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the precise and efficient operation of industrial table saws to cut various materials (wood, laminates, plastics, etc.) according to detailed specifications. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, a strong understanding of woodworking principles, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet production deadlines.

Responsibilities:

*Operate industrial table saws (e.g., sliding panel saws, cabinet saws, beam saws) safely and efficiently to cut materials to precise dimensions.

*Create and interpret accurate cut lists from engineering drawings, blueprints, and production orders, optimizing material yield and minimizing waste.

*Read and accurately interpret complex technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to understand product specifications, dimensions, and material requirements.

*Set up and calibrate table saws for various cuts, including rip cuts, crosscuts, dadoes, rabbets, and angles, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

*Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of table saws and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

*Inspect finished cuts for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications, making adjustments as needed.

*Identify and troubleshoot issues with equipment or materials, reporting complex problems to maintenance or supervisors.

*Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.

*Assist in material handling, including loading and unloading materials onto the saw and stacking finished parts.

*Collaborate effectively with other team members, including carpenters, fabricators, and supervisors, to ensure smooth workflow and project completion.

*Train and mentor junior operators, sharing best practices and promoting a culture of safety and excellence.

*Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.

Required Skills & Experience:

*Minimum of 5+ years of experience operating industrial table saws in a manufacturing, woodworking, or fabrication environment.

*Proven expertise in creating and interpreting complex cut lists with a strong understanding of material optimization.

*Exceptional ability to read, interpret, and work from detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.

*Demonstrable knowledge of various types of wood, laminates, and other materials commonly used in woodworking/fabrication.

*Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (e.g., tape measures, calipers, squares, protractors) with high accuracy.

*Strong understanding of table saw safety protocols and best practices.

*Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment and material issues.

*High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

*Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

*Good communication and interpersonal skills.

*Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Certification in woodworking, carpentry, or a related trade.

2. Experience with CNC-controlled panel saws or other automated cutting equipment.

3. Knowledge of different joinery techniques.

4. First Aid and Safety certifications.
