This role requires a strong leader who can manage multiple workstreams, oversee operational readiness, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure smooth delivery across all functions in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Strategy & Delivery
Lead the development and implementation of operational plans, service models, and procedures.
Oversee daily operational performance, identify risks, and resolve issues promptly.
Ensure readiness across all functions, including visitor services, logistics, facilities, and security.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting operational deadlines.
Team & Staffing Management
Oversee onboarding, training, and performance support for operational staff.
Ensure team preparedness through training plans, operational briefings, and development programs.
Support staff welfare, productivity, and engagement across multiple locations.
Logistics, Compliance & Vendor Management
Review operational guidelines set by organizers and ensure strict compliance.
Liaise with government entities, event authorities, and regulatory bodies.
Lead procurement activities, manage vendors, and track contractual deliverables.
Ensure all operational work follows safety, legal, and quality standards.
Stakeholder, VIP & Protocol Coordination
Oversee VIP visit management in collaboration with protocol and event teams.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, partners, and external stakeholders to support strategic objectives.
Represent the operations function in internal and external meetings.
Financial & Administrative Oversight
Support budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking across operational activities.
Review financial summaries, audits, and operational reporting.
Maintain accurate records, documentation, and operational control frameworks.
Reporting & Knowledge Management
Lead the preparation of progress updates, operational dashboards, and management reports.
Contribute to post-event reviews, lessons learned, and knowledge transfer documentation.
Support long-term planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Events Management, or related field.
Minimum
5+ years' experience
in operations management, ideally in government-related entities, exhibitions, global events, or large-scale public operations.
Experience with international events, expos, or high-profile projects is a strong advantage.
Skills & Competencies
