We are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager \xe2\x80\x93 Delivery Services to join our team at Transguard Group.

Scope

Responsible for the daily operational management of the delivery services division within the wider transport BU: responsible for the operational KPIs to achieve highest level of service and manage the overall cost and service levels to both internal and external clients.

Plays a key role in the commercial management of the BU from contract delivery, service level management and operational delivery in line with the FS \xe2\x80\x93 resulting in an overall profitable BU.

Works with the business units to improve the overall service to internal customer whilst maintaining the desired level of performance to the end user TG client.

Maintains the cost control and operational metrics to achieve the overall BU commercial and internal scorecard requirements.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the operational P&L, monitoring the annual spend against budget and reporting on variances
• Responsible for executing vehicle scheduling, route planning and managing transport for delivery services
• Manage daily operations ensuring drivers daily schedules are planned and optimized to achieve the BU standard KPI benchmarks in all areas
• Play a key role in the development of the strategic growth plans for the domestic delivery market
• Contribute to expanding the scope of the delivery network and develop and industry image as a best-in-class logistics service
• Consistently achieve and exceed the delivery services network targets
• Deliver an overall profitable BU

Skills

Knowledge \xe2\x80\x93 Experience

• 7 years of experience in the Delivery/Logistics industry, including 5 years in a management role

Knowledge \xe2\x80\x93 Education

• Degree in Logistics

Knowledge \xe2\x80\x93 General

• Experience in parcel delivery sector
• Proven work experience as an operations/transportation Manager or similar role
• Solid knowledge of supply chain management
• Familiarity with logistics or transport software planning systems
• Experience in optimising employees\xe2\x80\x99 talent to support the company\xe2\x80\x99s goals
• Demonstrated effective leadership in managing a transport team
• Demonstrated ability to conduct coaching with employees and manage the team\xe2\x80\x99s performance
• Proven track record in guiding employees\xe2\x80\x99 growth and development
