Job Description
OPERATIONS COORDINATOR JOB DESCRIPTION:
- The main purpose of the job is to ensure smooth clearance of commercial cargo shipment.
- The job exists to handle documentation / clearance of client\xe2\x80\x99s shipments, coordinate with proper authorities to complete procedures, monitor shipping lines and their activities, handle cargo and insurance claims and provide constant advice to principals for updates / changes.
- The job contributes towards timely and efficient delivery of shipments to client\xe2\x80\x99s warehouse / stores.
- Check accuracy of documents for clearance, open job accordingly and process as per agreement with the customer. Maintain availability of proper quotation, credit limit or spot credit, for the job undertaken.
- Plan and coordinate DO collection from shipping agents / airlines thru runners, updated contact details of the key shipping lines / forwarders and locations.
- Prepare and submit customs bill thru Dubai Trade ensuring accuracy of information and ensure the correct HS Code is used .
- Advise client to obtain permission from government / ministries for hazardous / perishable / food stuff / other as applicable for consignments.
- Coordinate with DNATA, DPA, Customs authority and transporters.
- Monitoring & Controlling of Customs Duty / Documentation Deposits, Exit / Entry Certificates and follow up for refunds .
- Enter all billing instruction for each job and dispatch files to billing PIC.
- Handle cargo claims, liaise with insurance companies / TT club and coordinate cargo survey UAE Driving License .
- Excellent English communication skill, adept in spoken Hindi and/or Arabic Minimum 3 year experience in the same industry, strong operational background, custom clearance and logistics experience covering cargo operations (export/import) warehousing and distribution and product knowledge
