The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for delivering intensive, goal-oriented rehabilitation to patients transitioning from acute care. The role involves managing post-acute cases, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based rehabilitation protocols. The physiotherapist will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to optimize functional recovery, ensure continuity of care, and support safe discharge planning. Experience in structured rehabilitation programs, outcome measurement, and managing complex functional impairments is essential Responsibilities:
Assess patients' functional abilities, cognitive status, and activities of daily living (ADLs) in the post-acute phase for both neurological and orthopedic conditions.
Plan and deliver intensive, goal-oriented occupational therapy interventions to improve independence in self-care, mobility-related tasks, and instrumental ADLs.
Implement task-specific, functional rehabilitation programs, including upper-limb rehabilitation, cognitive-perceptual training, and functional re-training.
Monitor patient progress using standardized functional outcome measures, adjust treatment plans accordingly, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary rehabilitation team to support holistic care, goal setting, and safe discharge planning.
Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, assistive devices, energy conservation, and home modification strategies.
Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements within the post-acute rehabilitation setting Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
Valid MOH / DHA / DOH license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the UAE.
Minimum 2-3 years of clinical experience in post-acute rehabilitation, inpatient rehabilitation, or similar settings.
Demonstrated experience in managing neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation cases, including ADLs and functional retraining.
Strong knowledge of evidence-based occupational therapy interventions, functional outcome measures, and patient-centered goal setting.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team and manage patients with complex functional and cognitive needs.
Must be able to join immediately.
