MEP SUPERVISOR
Job Title: MEP Supervisor
Department: MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing)
Reports To: Project Manager / Construction Manager
Job Summary:
An MEP Supervisor is a senior technical professional responsible for overseeing and coordinating all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing activities on a construction project. They ensure that MEP systems are designed, installed, and commissioned correctly, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all specifications and codes.
Key Responsibilities:

• Team Coordination & Supervision: Lead, supervise, and coordinate the work of electricians, plumbers, AC technicians, and other MEP trades on site.
• Planning & Scheduling: Plan and schedule MEP activities in coordination with the main construction schedule to avoid conflicts and delays.
• Quality Control & Inspection: Inspect all MEP installations to ensure they meet project specifications, quality standards, and relevant codes (NEC, UPC, etc.). Conduct tests and commissioning of systems.
• Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and solutions for complex MEP issues. Resolve conflicts between different MEP systems and other trades (e.g., structural, architectural).
• Documentation & Reporting: Review MEP drawings and submittals. Maintain daily reports, inspection records, and as-built drawings. Report progress to the Project Manager.
• Safety Enforcement: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures among all MEP staff and subcontractors.
• Vendor & Supplier Liaison: Coordinate with material suppliers and equipment vendors to ensure timely delivery and correct specifications.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
• Significant previous experience in a supervisory MEP role on construction projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all MEP systems, building codes, and standards.
• Strong ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, schematics, and 3D models (BIM).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and MS Office.
