Key Responsibilities
Prepare and verify
material take-offs (MTOs)
and
material requisitions
based on approved shop drawings and project specifications.
Source and evaluate
suppliers, subcontractors, and manufacturers
for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing materials.
Request, review, and compare
quotations
, ensuring compliance with
specifications, technical requirements, and project standards
.
Negotiate
pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions
with suppliers to ensure best cost and value.
Prepare
technical and commercial comparison sheets
for procurement decisions.
Coordinate closely with
MEP engineers, site teams, QS, and project managers
to ensure timely deliveries to site.
Track and maintain
procurement schedules
, purchase orders, delivery logs, and documentation.
Ensure quality and compliance with
project specifications, authority regulations, and consultant/client requirements
.
Follow up on deliveries, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate return/replacement of defective materials.
Support preparation of
submittals
,
samples
, and documentation for consultant/client approvals.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's Degree in
Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
or relevant discipline.
4-5 years of MEP procurement experience in the UAE
(mandatory).
Experience in
MEP contracting

interior fit-out project procurement

Strong understanding of
MEP materials, systems, specifications, and supplier markets

Proficiency in
MS Office, ERP systems, and procurement software
.
Strong negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills.
