MEP Coordinator - Dubai (Building Projects)

AED 12,000 - AED 14,000 per month (Based on experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated

MEP Coordinator

to join our project team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the coordination, management, and supervision of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) services from design through to construction and commissioning.

Crucial requirements include significant experience working on building projects in Dubai and a proven track record of managing individual projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Technical Review:

Review and coordinate MEP designs, shop drawings, and submittals against architectural and structural drawings to ensure full integration and compliance with local Dubai regulations and international standards.

Coordination Management:

Act as the primary interface between the design team, subcontractors (MEP, civil, etc.), and the main contractor to resolve all technical and logistical issues related to MEP works.

Site Supervision:

Oversee and inspect the installation of all MEP systems on-site, ensuring work quality, adherence to specifications, and timely completion.

Quality & Safety:

Implement and enforce quality control (QC) procedures and ensure all MEP activities are conducted in accordance with project safety standards.

Project Documentation:

Manage and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including RFI tracking, material approvals, progress reports, and as-built drawings.

Progress Monitoring:

Monitor the project schedule and MEP subcontractor performance, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective action plans.

Testing & Commissioning:

Coordinate and witness all required testing, adjusting, and commissioning (T&C) activities to ensure systems are fully operational and handed over successfully.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Experience:

Minimum of 5+ years of experience as an MEP Coordinator or similar role.

Dubai Building Experience (Mandatory):

Must

have extensive, recent, and relevant experience working on

building construction projects in Dubai

. Familiarity with DEWA/DM/TECOM regulations and approval processes is essential.

Individual Project Experience (Mandatory):

Proven ability to independently manage and coordinate the full MEP lifecycle for a specific project or major project segment.

Technical Proficiency:

Strong knowledge of all aspects of MEP systems (HVAC, fire fighting, plumbing, low current, power distribution).

Software Skills:

Proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM/Revit (preferred) for reviewing and coordinating drawings.

Communication:

Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
