JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and fabricating mechanical systems and equipment in an oil and gas coating plant. Performs TIG (GTAW) and ARC (SMAW) welding on plant components to ensure safe and efficient operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, conveyors, coating line equipment, and piping systems.
Conduct TIG and ARC welding for fabrication and repair of plant structures, supports, and tanks.
Troubleshoot mechanical faults and carry out timely repairs to minimize downtime.
Assist with installation and alignment of new machinery and coating equipment.
Follow HSE standards, permit-to-work, and lockout/tagout procedures.
Maintain maintenance records and support reliability improvement efforts.

Qualifications

Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Maintenance.
3-5 years' experience in oil & gas or industrial coating plant maintenance.
Certified in TIG (GTAW) and ARC (SMAW) welding.
Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Familiarity with API, ASME, and AWS standards.

Skills

Ability to read mechanical drawings and welding symbols.
