Machine Operator
Job Summary:
The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring machinery in a production environment. The operator will ensure machines run smoothly, efficiently, and safely to produce high-quality products according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup: Set up machinery at the beginning of each shift, ensuring all materials are correctly loaded and settings are accurate.
- Operation & Monitoring: Operate machinery according to procedures. Monitor gauges, controls, and product output to identify any issues.
- Quality Control: Perform regular quality checks on products to ensure they meet defined standards. Make minor adjustments to the machine to correct flaws.
- Basic Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic troubleshooting. Report any major mechanical issues to the maintenance team.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of guards and personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing or production setting.
- Basic understanding of production machinery and mechanical concepts.
- Ability to use measurement tools and follow detailed instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality and safety.
