Machine Operator
Job Title: Machine Operator
Department: Production / Manufacturing
Reports To: Production Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring machinery in a production or manufacturing environment. The operator ensures machines are running efficiently and safely to produce high-quality products according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Setup & Operation: Set up machinery at the beginning of each shift, calibrating it for specific production runs.
• Production Monitoring: Operate machinery, monitor control panels, and observe the production process to ensure quality and efficiency. Make minor adjustments as needed.
• Quality Control: Perform basic quality checks on output to ensure products meet defined standards. Identify and report any defects or machine malfunctions.
• Routine Maintenance: Perform basic cleaning and maintenance tasks on machinery (e.g., lubrication, parts replacement) as per the maintenance schedule.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout-tagout procedures, and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Production Reporting: Maintain accurate production logs and records.

Qualifications and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a machine operator in a relevant industry.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, and blueprints.
• Basic understanding of mechanical processes and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
