The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of all patrons in aquatic facilities by monitoring activities, enforcing safety rules, and responding swiftly to emergencies. The role requires vigilance, strong swimming skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
Constantly monitor the swimming area to prevent accidents and ensure safety.
Enforce facility rules and regulations to maintain a safe environment.
Provide first aid and CPR to swimmers or patrons in distress.
Conduct safety checks on equipment and pool facilities.
Educate patrons on safety rules and swimming etiquette.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area.
Keep accurate incident reports when necessary.
Participate in safety drills and training sessions.
Qualifications & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid lifeguard certification (e.g., Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, Pool Lifeguard Certificate).
CPR and First Aid certification.
Prior experience as a lifeguard is preferred.
Strong swimming ability and physical fitness.
Good observation skills and alertness.
