As a professional in your role, your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise and coordinate all aspects of the In-Room Dining (IRD) operations to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
  • Lead and motivate the IRD team to deliver personalized, five-star service in line with the hotel's luxury standards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all food and beverage orders to guestrooms and suites.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings, assign duties, and monitor staff performance during shifts.
  • Maintain effective communication with kitchen, stewarding, and other departments for smooth coordination.
  • Oversee setup, presentation, and clearance of room service trays and trolleys to ensure impeccable cleanliness and presentation.
  • Handle guest requests, complaints, and special preferences promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure adherence to hotel policies, hygiene standards, and safety regulations (HACCP).
  • Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and assist with ordering supplies.
  • Support training and development of IRD team members to enhance service excellence.
  • Monitor financial performance, control operating costs, and contribute to departmental targets.
Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:
  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a luxury hotel F&B environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role (preferably In-Room Dining).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service standards in a 5-star setting.
  • Proficient in POS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Well-groomed, professional appearance, and polished demeanor.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Fluency in English required; additional languages an advantage.
