HVAC Technician
Job Title: HVAC Technician
Department: Facilities Management / Maintenance
Reports To: Facility Engineer / Senior HVAC Technician
Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced HVAC Technician to perform maintenance, repair, and installation of various heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The technician will ensure that all HVAC equipment operates efficiently and reliably to provide a comfortable environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on a variety of HVAC equipment, including split units, Fan Coil Units (FCUs), package units, and chilled water systems.
• Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose malfunctions and perform necessary repairs on HVAC systems, components, and controls. This includes electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• System Servicing: Conduct tasks such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, checking refrigerant levels, charging systems, and calibrating thermostats and controls.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency breakdown calls and rectify issues to minimize downtime.
• Documentation: Accurately document all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and time spent, within the work order system.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, especially when handling refrigerants, electrical components, and working at heights.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in HVAC maintenance, repair, and installation.
• ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification or a Diploma in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant field.
• Experience with split units, FCUs, and basic knowledge of chillers is required.

Technical Competencies:

• Strong practical knowledge of HVAC principles and refrigeration cycles.
• Ability to use HVAC tools and instruments (manifold gauges, vacuum pumps, multimeters, etc.) effectively.
• Basic understanding of electrical circuits and controls related to HVAC systems.
• Physically fit to perform manual labor, lift heavy objects, and work in confined spaces or at heights.
