HVAC Technician
Job Title: HVAC Technician
Department: Facilities Management / Engineering
Reports To: MEP Team Leader / FM Supervisor
Summary:
The HVAC Technician is a specialist responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems. This role focuses on ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and indoor air quality for the building's environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Specialist Maintenance: Conduct PPM and reactive maintenance on complex HVAC systems, including VRF/VRV systems, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), and split systems.
• Refrigeration Work: Handle refrigerants safely (F-Gas certification is essential). Perform leak tests, evacuation, and recharge of systems.
• System Diagnostics: Use advanced tools (manifold gauges, multimeters, building management system interfaces) to diagnose and rectify faults.
• Mechanical Repairs: Repair and replace mechanical components such as compressors, motors, fans, and belts.
• Electrical Controls: Troubleshoot basic electrical control circuits associated with HVAC equipment.
• Compliance: Adhere to F-Gas regulations, Safe Handling of Refrigerants guidelines, and all other relevant H&S procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
• Mandatory: Valid F-Gas Category I certification.
• Proven experience working on commercial HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of BMS systems is a significant advantage.
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
