HVAC Chiller Technician - Facilities Maintenance UAE

Core Duties

• Maintain and repair air- and water-cooled chillers, including centrifugal, scroll, screw, and reciprocating units
• Diagnose issues using gauges, multimeters, and refrigerant recovery tools
• Conduct preventive maintenance on pumps, cooling towers, and HVAC systems
• Replace or service key components like compressors, fans, expansion valves, and sensors
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and BMS control interfaces
• Document system performance and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Support mechanical, electrical, and plumbing teams as part of a multi-skilled workforce
• Adhere to site safety protocols and environmental guidelines
• Participate in 24/7 shift rotations including emergency call-outs

Ideal Profile

• Minimum 5 years of chiller maintenance experience
• Deep understanding of refrigeration cycles and HVAC diagnostics
• Familiarity with leading brands (Carrier, Trane, York, Daikin)
• Diploma or trade certification in HVAC or Mechanical Engineering
• Physically fit and able to work in confined spaces, rooftops, or high temperatures
• UAE experience and a valid driving license are advantages
