Job Title: Housekeeping Team Lead
Department: Housekeeping / Environmental Services
Reports To: Facilities Manager / Housekeeping Manager
Job Purpose:
The Housekeeping Team Lead supervises the housekeeping staff to ensure all assigned areas are cleaned to the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation. This role acts as a liaison between the housekeepers and management.
Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision: Assign daily tasks and cleaning duties to housekeeping staff. Inspect completed work to ensure quality and standards are met.
• Training: Train new hires on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and the proper use of chemicals and equipment.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and linens. Submit requisitions as needed.
• Reporting: Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and damages to the appropriate department. Prepare shift reports and maintain cleaning logs.
• Customer Service: Address guest or occupant complaints and requests promptly and professionally.
• Performance Management: Provide feedback and coaching to team members. Report performance issues to the Housekeeping Manager.
• Operational Support: Perform cleaning duties during staff shortages or peak periods. Ensure all equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a housekeeping role, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and sanitation standards.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to motivate a team and lead by example.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift, push, and pull cleaning equipment.
