Hostess (Arabic / European)
Job Title: Hostess
Language Skills: Fluency in Arabic and English is required. Additional European languages are a significant advantage.
Reports To: Restaurant Manager
Job Summary:
As the first point of contact for our guests, the Hostess plays a critical role in setting the tone for the entire dining experience. We are seeking a polished, professional, and bilingual individual who can warmly welcome our diverse clientele, manage reservations with efficiency, and ensure a seamless flow of service from the moment guests arrive.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Reception:
  • Greet all guests with a warm, sincere, and professional welcome.
  • Utilize bilingual skills (Arabic/English) to make international and local guests feel comfortable and valued.
  • Manage the reservation system (e.g., OpenTable, Resy) effectively, noting special occasions and preferences.
  • Seating & Floor Management:
  • Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus and ensuring their initial comfort.
  • Manage the seating chart to ensure even distribution of guests among service sections for optimal service.
  • Accurately estimate and communicate wait times to guests when necessary.
  • Coordination & Communication:
  • Maintain constant communication with the management and service team regarding table status, special requests, and VIP arrivals.
  • Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally, providing information and taking reservations.
  • Bid guests a genuine farewell and thank them for their visit.
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the host stand and lobby area.
  • Assist in managing the coat check service, if applicable.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Prior experience as a hostess in an upscale restaurant or hotel environment.
  • Must be fluent in Arabic and English. Proficiency in another European language (e.g., French, Italian, Spanish) is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Poised, professional, and well-groomed appearance.
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure during busy periods.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with reservation software and basic computer skills.
