We are looking for a hands-on Head of engineering to lead our engineering department and help us build great products. You'll also manage our infrastructure and ensure all internal systems operate securely and effectively. You will still need to write code !

Responsibilities

Architect and develop the best technical solutions for operational challenges

Continue to innovate and overcome technology limitations to deliver a delightful customer experience

Drive recruiting of a world class team at all levels and coordinate their training

Oversee front-end and back-end development teams and their projects

Monitor reliability and performance of all internal systems to suggest improvements

Ensure compliance with security regulations

Manage software development projects by setting requirements, goals and timelines

Qualifications

BSc/MSc in Engineering, Computer Science or relevant field

Significant full stack development experience (8+ years of relevant engineering experience: MEAN/MERN, AWS, HTML5/CSS) as well as JAVA background

5+ years of experience with object-oriented design and agile development methodologies

Experience in designing software architectures for scalability, reliability and performance

Experience in SPA frameworks such as Angular/React or Vue

Experience in CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops

Solid software development background including design patterns, data structures and test driven development

Hands-on experience in most of the following areas:

Application Architecture and Design

Definition of technical requirement

Development of Business and technical requirements

System selection and implementation support

Proof of Concept design and implementation

Business and IT process reengineering

Application integration

Agile software development

Camunda, at least one implementation

Hands - on Java & Nodejs experience

Strong understanding of node.js back-end architecture

Serverless architecture, for example, AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Run, Azure App Engine, Alibaba Cloud SAE/EDAS

Experienced in planning, deploying & configuration related to IAM, networking, security, routing, load balancers, Gateways, peering, TLS certificates for a public cloud platform preferably Azure / AWS

Proven experience in Linux & scripting skills

Container experience with Docker and Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms

Experienced in any application / web server (Nginx or Wildfly / Jboss)

Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools (e.g.: ElasticSearch / Logstash / Kibana, Graphana, Splunk, Nagios, etc.)

5+ years of experience integrating systems using Rest APIs and single sign-on

At least 3 years of experience with API designs, building and consuming REST web services, integration with databases
