Job Summary
Our client’s Solar and Battery Storage team is one of the fastest growing parts of their business with an exciting multi-GW pipeline of projects in train. Our client is looking to double the size of their current team by attracting people who share their passion for getting to net zero, at what is a very exciting time for the energy sector.
As a member of senior management of my client’s business in Ireland, you will be responsible for all project development from initiation through to point of hand over for construction.
Responsibilities:
- Driving the pipeline and growth of the business in ROI
- Develop and execute development strategy
- Oversee pipeline and develop and manage projects from initial identification or acquisition completion, through commercial appraisal, design, grid approval, land assemblage and planning to point of construction commencement
- You will be responsible for recruiting a high calibre team of development professionals
- You and your team will provide robust front-end project development and management to develop and refine project opportunities up to investment decision, and ultimately handover to construction.
Skills Required:
- A background that may have originated in engineering, project finance, private equity, or elsewhere
- A good understanding of Eirgrid and the energy markets in ROI
- Experience of the various stages of solar and BESS development.
- Be well connected to the political and commercial influencers of ROI Energy Strategy.
