Role Overview

The General Manager will be the senior commercial and operational leader for company in the UAE. You will drive revenue growth, manage end-to-end freight operations (ocean, air, land), lead sales & partnerships, ensure compliance with customs/regulatory requirements, control costs and build a results-driven team.

Key Responsibilities

Own P&L for UAE operations; develop and execute annual business plans and targets. Oversee all freight forwarding functions: sea, air, land, warehousing and customs clearance. Lead business development and account management for key clients; expand customer base and revenue streams. Negotiate contracts and rates with shipping lines, airlines, agents and logistics partners. Ensure operational excellence and on-time delivery through process optimisation and KPI tracking. Manage budgets, cost controls and margin improvement initiatives. Build, mentor and manage cross-functional teams: operations, sales, customer service. Maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities, ports, customs and service providers. Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies; manage operational risks. Represent the company externally at commercial meetings and industry forums.
Candidate Profile -- Required

Experience:

Minimum

5 years

(5+ preferred) in a management role within international freight forwarding / logistics.

Functional knowledge:

Deep experience across sea, air, land freight, customs clearance, and warehousing.

Commercial skills:

Proven track record in sales growth, contract negotiation and P&L management.

Leadership:

Strong team-building, people management and performance-driven mindset.

Languages:

Fluent

Chinese

and

English

. Arabic proficiency is a strong plus.

Work style:

High execution orientation, decisive, resilient under pressure and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Location & eligibility:

Based in or willing to relocate to Dubai; open to all nationalities.

Base salary:

AED

20,000+ / month

(depending on experience)

Incentives:

Performance-based commission/bonus (high earning potential)
